About Tracy

Tracy has been a resident of Routt County for more than 40 years, a family man, and has worked for a propane company for the last several years. He attended Moffat schools until his family moved to Steamboat. He had a very successful career in the rodeo as a pro bull rider and bareback rider. Tracy's family spent most of his life as a cattle rancher; his father was also a Supervisor at Trapper Coal Mine. His hobbies and passion are hunting, fishing, golf, NASCAR and boating.

Many people will remember Tracy as the lead singer in Final Frontier, along with a few other local bands since. He loves Country music. He also loves to help out the community in any way that he can. His love of politics has catapulted him into this race for District 2 Commissioner in Routt County, where he seeks to listen to the people and help make Steamboat a better, more economic and prosperous place, to live and play.  Tracy will strive to ensure the locals, including the visitors, will have a voice.

He remembers after a winters day of chores you could go skiing for a reasonable price. In the summer, rodeo was a way of life, and those hot days were finished out by hitting the local pub. Enjoyment was gained from seeing the rodeo reruns on the big screen, and to enjoy the country music.

Trying to keep the western feel of Steamboat Springs alive has been a difficult task in years past. Tracy is passionate about progressing by thinking ahead and moving into the future with open minds and common sense.
